NOTE
The basic video signal is composed of video, blanking and sync as shown above
to form the "composite video signal". Various significant parameters and common
terminology applied to them (such as "front porch' and 'back porch") are outlined
above. In some instances, a "non-composite" video signal may be used which is
the same as that shown above less the sync portion, composed of only the video
plus blanking.
